Baja Mexico February 2004

Welcome to the new pages from the most recent trip into Baja! This trip we topped our attendence record with 14 people. Linda, Wade, Katrina made their 3rd trip along with San Jose pal Marylin. The group's star Katrina, climbed up several levels of fishing mastery The Su family braved their first trip and got their fill of fishing in just one day. Mrs Su diddn't last quite that long on the boat and Phil spent much of his rail time holding her hair back as she chummed the fish. Marlin, a Virgil MS student with a great fishing name made his 3rd trip as well. Memo, our newest draft and brother to the Old Salty Dog AKA Mark brought is light tackle along. Unfortunately Mark's new gig at the Staples Center kept him home. That leaves myself at the two Franks, or Dr. Frank and Mini-Frank. As selfless givers we again served as the backbone of the expedition but sometimes felt more like deck-hands to those afraid t bait a hook or de-hook a fish. Mini-Frank plans for a smaller group the next time out.

Chili Buns of Van Nuys, owned and operated by Mr. Benitez hosted a late night fish fry that only a few got to enjoy. They don't know what they were missing!
